After graduating from dental school in 1998 Ali worked in general practice and private clinics in Oxford, London & Cornwall before joining us at the Carriage Works 11 years ago.

Those of you that have met Ali will know that her professionalism, attention to detail and patient care is second to none which is why we were delighted when she agreed to work alongside Finley Bason providing facial aesthetics at Dermaworks.

Ali has spent the last 8 years studying dermatology, skin remodelling to MSc level and advanced injection techniques. She is a member of IAAFA (International Association of Advanced Facial Aesthetics) and regularly attends conferences and training, ensuring we, as a practice, are always up to date with new techniques, products and advice.

Ali Has 2 boys, her older son is now at university studying Maths & her younger son is year nine at secondary school so when not working she enjoys walking, yoga, homework & standing on the side of a football field or race track!

I gained my NEBDN qualification in dental nursing in 2012 and since then have worked between a mixture of NHS and private practices with a range of nursing and reception experience.

I joined Carriage Works back in February 2017, shortly after joining I began working along side our principal dentist Fin.

I assist Fin in complex treatments such as, implant placements, bone augmentation, sinus lifts and surgical extractions.

In 2021, I gained my SAAD National Course in Conscious Sedation for Dental Nurses.

As well as working closely with Fin, I also assist Ali who is our hygienist and facial aesthetic practitioner at Carriage Works.

Thave a huge interest in facial aesthetics and enjoy getting involved with treatments such as chemical skin peels, micro needling, fillers and anti wrinkle injections.oRE

In my spare time, I enjoy long walks, being at the beach and spending quality time with my family and friends.

Finley Bason BDS (Hons)

Finley qualified from Liverpool University in 1997 with honours and spent several years working in hospital based oral and facial surgery departments.

After a year working in New Zealand at University of Otago Dental school and in private practice Finley moved to Cornwall in 2002 and has been practice owner/principal dentist since 2006.

His special interests are Implants, Alignment solutions, Oral surgery, Facial Aesthetics and Sedation.

Nicola has been a qualified dental nurse since 2006 and has worked at the practice since it opened. Nicola has a keen interest in the facial aesthetics side of the business as well as general dentistry. 

Nicola and taken on the role of social media and marketing. 

Outside of the practice Nicola enjoys aerial fitness, paddle boarding, walking the dogs and spending time with family and friends.
